Hey! I'm Jeremiah Tan Yu Yang, a freelance film crew in Singapore since 2017 specialising in the tech department. I have always been passionate about filmmaking since young. Becoming a cinematographer is the ultimate purpose and goal that I have being in this industry. The dream is that one day, my works will be seen by people from all walks of life. I am aware of the power of media in this day and age and therefore strive to create works that can help and impact all kinds of people in the world.

 

 To me, filmmaking is a form of storytelling in the form of a video. Movies give people the chance for 3 hours to step out of this reality and enter into a whole new reality and I hope that someday I have the opportunity to give people that chance.

Being a firm believer that good cinematography is crucial to telling a good story, I place extra attention on the lighting and framing of my projects and I aim to strive for harmony between the script and cinematography. Hence, I find myself communicating with the director to get a hold of which reality the director wants the story to happen in and what the director's vision is for the project. From there, I work with the team to try and create visually stunning images to help bring the director's vision to life.
